Very interesting read on the different stances on whether design is a science or not. As a former scientist turned designer, this resounded deeply with me.

Science is, in general, a difficult discipline to generalize because depending on the subject matter it can look vastly different. For example, there are scientists who study how to restore ecosystems that have been damaged by human impacts, i.e. restoration ecology. One would argue that this discipline is solution-based instead of problem-based!
